The Perfect Water Bowl While on the Road

Torus Water Bowl

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday!

As most of you know I went on a road trip to Arizona a couple of weeks ago. In planning for our trip my humans wanted a water bowl that didn’t require much maintenance, easy and durable throughout the entire trip. So, when the opportunity came along to review the Torus water bowl we thought it was the perfect fit.

Torus is a watering bowl that stores waster inside the reservoir walls and automatically dispenses water through a filter into the bowl. Because it holds water in the walls, you are filling the bowl up less than normal. It requires no batteries or any power source. With the rubber bottom and the design of the bowl there are less spills and messes to clean up. One of the best features, you can lock the reservoir chamber stopping water flow to the bowl for easy transport.

Now, time to hit the road for an 11 day road trip starting in Southern, Minnesota and ending in Phoenix, Arizona.

Torus Water Bowl

The first major pit stop we took was at Pike’s Peek in Colorado Springs, Colorado. My humans had no idea what they were getting themselves into. After trekking 20 miles straight up a mountain that took 1.5 hours, I was happy to get all four paws on the ground and get a nice drink of water. With all the twist, turns, and steep inclines no water leaked out and everything in the back of the car remained dry. It was breathtaking at an elevation of 14,114′ but I was happy once we returned to the base and continued on our way.

We finally made our way from Colorado to Arizona and stopped at the Four Corners Monument. I could tell that the temperature was starting to increase and the ground was becoming warmer. Having the Torus water bowl was convent to take out of the car, turn the cap, and drink until my heart was content.

While staying in Kayenta, Arizona we had the opportunity to listen to one of the last 15 surviving Navajo Code Talkers speak about his experience during World War II. During that time, the Torus bowl came in handy to get a quick drink from. All my mom had to do was simply turn the cap to allow water to enter the bowl area. The design and style of the bowl is nice and elegant that it blended in with the decor at the hotel.

Because of it’s low profile and the rubber bottom, having the bowl on the backseat and open while driving through Arizona was perfect. There was never any spills or messes to clean up. Except the water dripping from my beard.

The Torus bowl was wonderful to use in the hotel. My humans didn’t have to fill it as often as my bowl at home. And the water was always available when I woke up from my naps.

Whether you take yours on your next road trip or use around the house, I’m sure your are going to find it a perfect fit with your pet(s) as well.

Next, I can’t wait to take Torus camping with me!

I haven’t tried one of these yet, but I’ve seen them before. We do a lot of traveling with Haley, so maybe it’s time to buy one. I love the rubber bottom that would keep it from sliding around in the car.

Sounds like a great product. I especially like that you can use it in the car – so many other bowls spill all over the place

I’ve heard a lot about this bowl. Looks amazing. I just use those vinyl ones that pop open LOL

That is really cool! I love the filter function. The travel bowls I use now seem to leech color into the water, so I am constantly filing them and dumping them. I don’t want the water to stand! I may need to get one of these.

So cool Spencer! I spilled an entire collapsible bowl in the back of the car last weekend as I didn’t realize I hadn’t dumped it before we left the beach. I’ve never seen these bowls before and they’re so great for traveling – and trials. We have a trial Saturday so I’ll see if I can get one here by the weekend. Awesome!!
