National…….Oh, Look, a Squirrel!

_DSC0517

Did you know today is National Squirrel Day? You heard me right, National Squirrel Day. What better way to celebrate then to go squirrel watching. I figure so many people go bird watching, why not look for squirrels. So, I bundled up my human nice and warm and headed to the local dog park that is located right off the river in the woods, the prime location.

We get to the park and I immediately dash off into the woods, my human not far behind me. At first I listen, but hear nothing.

Oh, wait, what’s that……………..just the wind blowing the branches around.

I kept looking and looking and nothing. So I decide to cause some ruckus and maybe they might get scared and move.

I jump on the trees. I try shaking the trees. I even tried to climb the trees. But, nothing, not even one fluffy tail.

Well, I’m sad to say I came up empty handed but I sure had fun exploring. Hope you all have a wonderful National Squirrel Day. If you find any of those fluffy tailed animals let me know!

What! How did I possibly not know it was national squirrel day? Those pesky squirrels are always teasing me from the treetops in my garden. Try as I may, I never catch them either.

Hoo boy, I can’t let Magic (or Karma-Kat) read this. They’ll be all, “WHO…let the squirrels out…WHO, WHO, WHO-WHO!”

Pierre spends part of each day squirrel watching. If he ever learns to climb a tree those squirrels are in serious trouble! BOL!

Surprisingly we saw very few squirrels today! Normally, they’re running all over the place and taunting Mr. N.

You may not have found a squirrel, but at least you had fun trying! I bet you had all the squirrels hiding inside those trees. I love your happy tail! 🙂

Too bad you didn’t see any squirrels, Spencer! They must all be bundled up together some place warm! Looks like you had a good time playing out in the snow looking for them though!

We have squirrels all over our yard. They like to play and eat nuts from our Hickory Nut tree.

Yes! In this Siberian Husky household, squirrel watching (chasing) is preferred! Beautiful photos!
